The Nunavut Water Board (NWB) is an institution of Public Government with responsibilities for the use, regulation and management of freshwaters in Nunavut as described in Article 13 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement (NLCA). The powers of the NWB are enacted through Bill C-33 the Nunavut Water and Nunavut Surface Rights Tribunal Act (NWNSRTA).
Priority consideration will be given to qualified beneficiaries of the NLCA.
