The Nunavut Water Regulations Development Group (NWRDG) is seeking your input on the development of Nunavut's water regulations under the Nunavut Waters and Nunavut Surface Rights Tribunal Act (NWNSRTA). This survey is the first step in stakeholder consultations - your input is an essential component in developing these new regulations. The NWRDG is working to: 

• Idenfity and address any issues with the applilcatin of the existing NWT water reuglations in Nunavut which are being applied on a temporary besis unitl the Nunavut water regulations are developed; and

• Ensure the new regulations reflect the operational and administrative realities of water management in Nunavut.

Note:The work of developing new water regulations for Nunavut cannot include the revision of any mandates or responsibilities, or reinterpretation of the Waters Act or the Nunavut Lands Claims Agreement (NLCA).
