Rudy Rasch, Interim Finance Officer
Sheena Kamookak, Finance Administrative Assistant
Sheena was born in Yellowknife and raised in Gjoa Haven and was one of the first to attend and graduate High School in Gjoa Haven. While in school, Sheena served in the Student Council as Vice-President.
Sheena completed the 2 year Office Administration Diploma Program at the Nunavut Arctic College and joined the NWB in October 2008 as an Administrative Assistant Trainee. She has previous work experience as Manager/Secretary of the HTO, High School Secretary, Student Support Assistant and Executive Assistant with the NWB.

David Hohnstein, Director Technical Services
Sean B. Joseph, Technical Advisor
Sean joined NWB in January 2010. His qualifications include a Diploma in Science, an A.A.S. Degree in Environmental Technology, and a B.Tech. Degree in Environmental Engineering. Prior to joining the NWB, Sean was employed as a Technical Assistant with Greater Vancouver Regional District (Metro Vancouver) and as Environmental Officer with Coast Mountain Bus Company, a subsidiary of a Metro Vancouver’s Regional Transportation Authority (Translink).

Karén Kharatyan, Technical Advisor
Karén joined the Nunavut Water Board in August, 2010 relocating to Gjoa Haven from Ontario where he recently worked with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Eastern Region. His qualifications include ten years previous experience in the environemntal field in Armenia and Russia, utilizing a Master Degree in Water Sciences and a PhD in Hydrogeology; Avignon, France.

Phyllis Beaulieu, Manager of Licensing
Phyllis Bealieu joined the NWB in April, 2002. She has 35 years of office administration experience, having occupied positions in the oil and gas industry, the Department of the Environment in Nova Scotia, and in the Canadian Coast Guard in the Northwest Territories.

Ida Porter, Licensing Administrative Assistant
Born and raised Gjoa Haven, Ida first joined the NWB in 1998, working in a casual position as Acting Administrator. Prior to joining the NWB permanently as the Licensing Administrative Assistant in October, 2008, Ida worked at the Diavik Diamond Mine for 3 years as an Underground Administrator for the company Cementation Canada Inc. Other work experience included a business owner in Snowmobile Parts and Administrator for the Dental Clinic in Gjoa Haven.
In addition to the 10 years of office admin experience, Ida has attended the Nunavut Arctic College, completing courses in Introduction to Computers, Introduction to Management Communication, Introduction to Human Resources, Introduction to Northern Government, Introduction to Public Sector Finance and received Certificates for Introduction to Small Business and Cooking.
